Welcome back to our 'Summer at the Beach' Blog Series. We’re in Week 3 of 6! We delight in keeping your kids practicing yoga and mindfulness all Summer long.
Here is a great way to continue your summer yoga poses with your kids! Let’s dig into the fun Crab yoga pose. Crab pose stretches and opens up the chest, and tones the lower back. It builds strength in the arms, legs, and core.
Pose: Crab |
We’re talking about embracing the fun that only crabs can bring! Try Crab Walks! And if the environment is right, have a Crab Race with your friends! Older kids can walk sideways, crab-style!
Everyone is cranky or grouchy at times. Talk to your Littles about how to kick a bad mood. Depending on age, you may discuss the first signs of being crabby. How can they help a friend turn a bad mood into a better mood! One of our favorite go-to conversations for kids ages 5+ is that crabbiness is sometimes as simple as a choice you get to make. You can choose a good mood or a bad one. Hint: Good moods tend to have more fun!
Getcrabby this summer, with a fun mindful craft. Make this craft at home or bring the supplies to the beach and get creative! Learn how to make this craft here!
You can find this pose in our Summer at the Beach Coloring Book, comes with yoga cards just for kids!
