Don't learn how I do it, enact exactly what YOU want to do in this field and go after it with video assignments that will help you reach your goals
Not a formulaic or cookie-cutter training at all! We help YOU reach your goals! Any setting, any age child, online, in-person, anywhere you want to teach.
Join our private Facebook group for continued support, friendship, freebies, and LOVE!
Our group is open to all trainees and offers community and insight into the world of kids yoga and mindfulness.
Hear from our community about their experiences.
Our trainees join us from all over the world! From teachers to yoga teachers to therapists, counselors and more - our trainings help you develop professionally while we grow together!
Yes! You can catch the replays. These will be ready within 48 hours of taping and will be unlisted links on youtube. Please enjoy but do not share. These will be available forever! You will have a link to a spreadsheet with all your links to re watch at any time.
That's OK, try to make it to MOST of the live-online classes and confirm that you have watched the replays you missed.
A computer or other internet-connected device with a microphone and camera. Some classes you will want a yoga mat, water or a drink. Option to have snacks. We will use Zoom - you can download the app or stream from the website.
Many people print the resources, so you would benefit from access to color printing.
Yes, we will take 5-7 minutes breaks throughout. On longer tapings, we have longer breaks.
As long as you mute the mic so the noise isn't distracting, we will make it work!
Yes, you will get contact hours for YACEP or toward your RCYT.
This is a course that involves 95 hours of training. It is a certificate that is registered through the Yoga Alliance.
If you are working toward your 95-hour RCYT, you get that once you complete all the courses. We will track your progress together. If you are not pursuing RCYT, you can have a certificate of completion. https://www.yogaalliance.org/Credentialing/For_Teachers/RCYT <-- this is how we will keep track of your hours
NO! You will be certified upon completion. Only if you wish to register with YA, read on for details. In order to register as an RCYT (Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher) with Yoga Alliance, a teacher must also complete a 200-hour training with an RYS 200. However, it does not need to be done first. A teacher can complete the trainings in any order. You do not need to register with the Yoga Alliance, it is a governing body only. To be a certified children’s yoga teacher, you need to complete all course hours. In order to register with the Yoga Alliance, you must also be a 200-hour RYT or above. You can pursue that before or after your RCYT training is complete.
No, you do not need to have your 95-hour Registered Children's Yoga Teacher designation through Yoga Alliance to become a kids yoga teacher. You are able to teach once you feel ready. Though registration through Yoga Alliance is rarely a requirement to teach children's yoga in most settings, it can boost your confidence and enrich your resume. It is not essential for all people. If you are thinking of a kids yoga career track, consider completing your 95-RCYT.
We offer online as well as private mentorship to our graduates. I will work with payment plans through these trying economic times. If you need help with building a business or learning the ropes of working online, I can support you privately.
Testimonials
Above and beyond!! I highly endorse and recommend Lara’s Flow & Grow Kid’s Yoga Teacher Certification course of 95 hours. You will go away with mega resources for teaching kids of all ages, grades and situations. You will go away connected to other Yoga teachers teaching children just like you and you will gain experience teaching children yoga. You will have the opportunity to watch videos of other teachers teaching children yoga. You will learn that there is a niche for you to teach yoga to children in your community. Get your certification and put yourself out there... the world needs more yoga! Kids and schools need more yoga. Your willingness to put yourself out there will be rewarded. I could not be prouder of myself for using this time of isolation and quarantine so constructively. Thank you Lara Hocheiser in Brooklyn, NY"
“The children love it. I believe it’s made such an impact with my students - in behavior, emotional development, academic learning, and social development. What a remarkable difference!”
"Hi Lara: I just had a need to join the conversation that took place at the end of A&P video three. I like many others are so covid exhausted. I have been at work for a few months now and keep hearing of a possible third lockdown! What keeps me going is doing this course. I find myself at work which is so different right now looking forward to coming home and joining the group! I love the interaction and follow along with the smaller groups. When you mentioned that your kids that you do classes with now are the highlight of your day, these classes are my highlight! Thanks for letting me go on!"
