For many children, the first thought that comes to mind when winter approaches is “snow day!” The winter can be a time of hibernation as it is cold outside, many extracurricular activities have slowed down, and the days get darker much earlier. When children are cooped up inside, they can become restless and bored quite easily. However, the winter yoga sequence is a great way to promote physical activity and encourage movement during a restless time.
Learn five (5) yoga poses with our Winter Sequence Yoga Cards. Written for kids, each card comes with easy-to-follow illustrations and step-by-step instructions. This winter yoga deck is the perfect way warm up and share yoga and mindfulness with children!
In our Educator’s edition, we provide 3 easy-to-follow curriculums for teachers, parents, and anyone else that works with children (young kids, kids, and tweens). Each lesson plan is formatted to teach an entire class, including discussion prompts, group activities, yoga movement, guided relaxations, crafts, and coloring pages.
Perfect for practicing anywhere! Use this deck at home, school, park, or when traveling!

The Winter Sequence and Lesson Plans is a 24-page PDF download which you can view on your phone, tablet, computer or print out onto paper. We recommend cutting out each card and taping/gluing on a 4”x6” index card or card stock. For added durability, laminate each card.
I have been using the winter pack for a few weeks. We have introduced some of the winter yoga moves using the cards and suggestions and the children have responded really well, we especially like 'Snowman Circles'! I work in a Nursery class so I haven't really needed to use the older age group lessons plans that are included. It would be great if you could just buy the age range you need or if there was a specific pack for early years. However, saying that I think the older kids activities can still be adapted to be more suited to the younger ages. This resource is excellent quality and a great introduction to yoga and mindfulness. My class love it and I can't wait to introduce the rest of the moves over the winter.
